Since the tournament is going to be held on PS3 consoles, can I request to play using joypad? Will anybody be bringing joypads?
If you want to use a joypad, sure. Either bring your own, or you can request it on the forums under the chalet thread. =)

Why is the tournament going to be held on PS3 consols? That’s not nearly as attractive as having arcade consols and is quite dissapointing. I have registered but will not attend if this event is going to remain on PS3 consols. The advertising should mention this particular configuration.
I’m confused as to why you thought it would be on Arcade?
I mean fair enough there’s enough people who say that there’s slight timing differences between arcade and console but I don’t think that should detract from your enjoyment of the event enough to matter. This is after all mostly a social event.
Why would it not be on an arcade? To attract the most people and to have the fullest enjoyment arcade machines are the way to go. I’m not sure how many people are going to pay to play PS3 or XBOXes. I might as well sit home and play on-line. As a revenue generating event it pales in comparison to having arcade machines. As far as the social aspects, the more people that show up, the better and many more people would show up if there were arcade machines and that’s a fact. Besides I play SF4 for the the game play not the social sppects.

We’ll have Madcatz TE sticks and Hori HRAP sticks available during the chalet, so that’s as close as you can get to playing with the arcade ‘feel’ without having to bring around the machines. We currently don’t own any arcade machines. They aren’t cheap, at about 6k each. Round1 isn’t rich. =(
Also, this is NOT a revenue generating event. We are running this event at a loss.
