Just to add Ryu and Akuma's uppercut is 3 frame start up.

Ken's light and middle uppercut is 4 frames start up. Heavy is 3 frame startup.

*******

To win a heavy Tiger uppercut, Ryu has to time his heavy uppercut slightly slower due to invincibility frame period.

Hi all, this is a good link for ryu. It shows invincible frames for shoryuken and some other impt data, like match-up. Cheers.

Lets talk tactics against Balrog (Boxer) with Ryu:

Running Punch Light: Block and counter with uppercut, mid distance-block and counter with Super

Running Uppercut Light kick: Counter with crouch middle kick (NOT block and counter)

Running low punch Light punch: Block and counter with crouch heavy kick

Running low uppercut Light kick: Block and counter with crouch middle kick

Running Overhead Punch: Block and uppercut

***

All EX running dash moves: Counter with crouch middle kick string with uppercut (Not Block and counter) Straight up attack. Contributed by Tetra or Yagami (Let them sort it out).

Team Balrog - Do outwit us.
Team Blanka (BBoy / KSF) - We are waiting for your Blanka counter.
What strength, but remember there are other fighters like you all over the world.

After you posted this, I recall Yagami telling me about it very long ago. I actually forgotten about it cos it was useless to me  :'(

Tetra / Yagami, I am just kidding, both of you have always contributed. Keep it coming.

Tetra: You did highlight the crouch middle/uppercut to me.

Ryu masterclass, Poongko vs Laugh exhibition match!

Wow look at this! This is the way Ryu should play and all SF4 players should play. There is so much fun and skills there especially the former. They are taking chances attacking agressively and using so much of the FA which I think should be the most important factor of this game. Not just waiting (which I am guilty) and also not just moving in to block and wait, move in to block and wait again hoping for you to jump or tech throw. Yagami, this is what I mean when I say pei hoon is good but he don't look like enjoying it. More like trying to save his 50c worth. I can't beat him but it is just plain boring and not innovative to see him play. I would say he has a different skill set and a safe way to play which is also why he can play so many characters. It is just throw and tech throw and the same set altogether. Alas, it is also the same set that most of the people fall for and can't win so lan lan..

Like you said seem to know. Just "seems" because I write more and hope more people will share their information in turn get better when others counter against them.

But yes, always glad to share my information pool (Friday 7pm), welcome all to kick ryu's ass.

Anyways, I took Sagat and Balrog out of my top list, slide in Akuma and Dialsim because I have so little exposure with them.

In case you have not notice, there is no ryu in Japan's top 10 except for Daigo. If you saw Daigo's recent TRF casuals, you will know how much work/skill Ryu needs to squeeze into top tier. So tired....

hmm..I saw TRF matches and Daigo is the only Ryu. Why I choice Ryu is because it look familiar like KOF Iori in terms of speed. I started playing SF4 like 1 month ago and with limited time this is the only character I can trained and master. Lets share some information this friday:D

i realise all singaporean ryu dont use FADC -> srk -> fadc -> ultra . close distance , it eats up any characters sweep , projectile except guile's? daigo used that versus poongko during the gamestop tournament .

It is a decent move against crouch heavy kick; example: Akuma. Maybe Singapore Ryu does not like to take risk, they like to defend till kingdom comes....Maybe.

Daigo Saving Attack poongko's fireball because daigo was in the corner. It is a rather safe move also...

You guys are forgetting "Fu~" aka Fuudo. Also a grandmaster Ryu player, recently saw him beat Daigo in a casual.
