ok time to stir things up again. here's some of the match specific shit that i've observed and experimented with during my time in Japan:
Against Charge Characters (esp Boxer, Blanka, Claw, Honda, Dict):
after tortilla, dash forward once, max range tortilla into whatever (f.mk, slide etc)
This forces the charge characters to lose their charge and limits their wake up options.
Against Blanka:
mid screen to close range slide beats ball on start up. still gotta get the timing right for this one.
the dash forward once, tortilla over set up is great against blanka because you land behind him if he reversal ultras/mashes elec.
Against Dictator:
after tortilla, dash forward x3 run back stop/pause, neutral jump air throw to beat ex devil's reverse wakeups.
Against Chun Li:
after tortilla, dash forward x2 run back stop air throw to catch backdashes and ex sbks.
Againt C. Viper:
after tortilla, dash forward x3 run back stop to bait ex sesimic, tortilla.
s.hk beats reversal ultra clean.
meaty slide to go under ex burning kick reversal, ultra.
Against Dhalsim:
after tortilla, whiff slk, max range tortilla to his body, f.mk, seems to be the perfect meaty timing on wake up.
c.fierce, guac to punish teleports. gotta find more set ups to punish teleports though.
Against Rufus:
s.hk xx lk guac to beat dive kicks.
after splash, whiff s.lp, j.hp beats out normal snake strike
splash, shower kicks and safe jumps seem to be way to go against rufus. tortilla gets beat out by random shit too often in this match.
Against Akuma:
after jump in, tortilla, etc: option select run slide to beat teleport. gotta fine tune this a bit more though.
